Special Rules & Regulations.

The Sooner Classic Championship follows the Oklahoma Secondary Schools/Indian Nations Football Conference (INFC) Rules & Regulations with Special Rules & Regulations amended by the Union Youth Football Association (UYFA) and listed in the following.

 

All Players MUST Land within the AGE and        GRADE Requirements for All Grades.

 

AGE LIMITS:
3rd Grade >>
Player can’t be age 10 before 9/1/09.
4th Grade >>
Player can’t be age 11 before 9/1/09.
5th Grade >>
Player can’t be age 12 before 9/1/09.
6th Grade >>
Player can’t be age 13 before 9/1/09.
7th Grade >>
Player can’t be age 14 before 9/1/09.

STRIPED PLAYERS:

Players within the specified weight ranges of one or twostripes will have their helmets marked accordingly.

One Striper - A neon green stripe placed vertically at the center rearbase of the helmet.

Two Striper - A neon green “x” placed at the center rear base of thehelmet.

 


One Stripers: Offense:
1. May play end but is not an eligible receiver and cannot
advance the ball in any manner at any time.

2. Not allowed to line up in the backfield except to place kick
extra points or field goals. Must be a declared kick, a
fumble or fake will be declared a dead ball.

3. May place kick but cannot punt.

 

One Stripers: Defense:
1. May play any position.

2. Not eligible to return a kick off or punt.

3. Allowed to return an interception or fumble.

 

Two Stripers:

1. Cannot have more than 3 two striped players on the field
of play at any one time.
2. Can only be a lineman in a down position, 3 or 4-point
stance.
3, Cannot be on the kick off or kick return team.

 

Two Stripers: Offense:
1. Must play on the interior offensive line and may never be
in a position to be eligible for a pass. Note: On an
unbalanced line, the tackle becomes an end if uncovered
making him illegal.
2. Will be allowed in the backfield to kick extra points or
field goal only. The kick must be declared, a fumble or
fake will be declared a dead ball. .

 

Two Stripers: Defense:
1. Must play on the defensive line and will not line up any
wider than head-up with the tight end’s normal position
whether a tight end is lined up on that side or not.
2. Will be allowed to return a fumble or pass interception.

 

 

LENGTH OF GAME & SCORING RULES:
Games will consist of four (4) quarters. Each quarter will last eight (8) minutes with a ten (10) minute halftime break. A touchdown is worth 6 points, an extra point (run or pass is = 1 point, kick is = 2 points.All grades will have center protected on declared punts, field goals and extra points. Defense can’t make contact with the center until such time as the ball touches the kicker, offensive player or the ground.
